Microsoft Outlook 2003 review:5 stars (Upgraded and happy) - Outlook 2003 was a huge difference from my previous version. It is very user friendly if you just install and get going. I purchased an Outlook book to help me get going, and it was great.
Pros- faster from contact to email to notes. friendlier to my pop3 email. you can get more done faster when it comes to organizing. Lots of good plugins online.
Cons-not backwards compatible with the rest of the office suite. If all you want is outlook to stand alone, it is great as a single upgrade. If you want to use it with word and the rest, upgrade the whole office package.
Hope this helped.
Marty4 stars (Great Management Tool) - We're a small business that decided to buy this product after tyring it out (see the Microsoft website for a free download trial). It has streamlined our e-mail and contact management.
Pros:
The boss and I each have our own Palm devices and we can each sync separately at our respective computers, only affecting our respective calendars and contact lists. I also especially like being able to view all 6 of the schedules I keep track of side by side.
Cons:
We have to export and then import my boss' calendar in order for us to keep track of changes we each make to it. This is something we can do across our network, but one of needs to shut down Outlook while the other imports the file. However, this is a very minor inconvenience greatly outweighed by the pros of this software.
Highly recommended!3 stars (email) - Also it keeps requesting a security password in my email. This is obsurd. Especially if it's my own home computer. |
